The 'Chapter 8' Guidance
When someone refers to 'Chapter 8' compliance, they are referencing the Traffic Signs Manual - Chapter 8: Road Works and Temporary Situations, which details the design and operation of temporary traffic measures to facilitate safe road works, temporary closures or incident management. Section O5 covers General Vehicle Issues and depending on your vehicle usage, there is a minimum level of vehicle livery, lighting and equipment to comply with when operating on the UK's highways. This covers:
